The Challenge

August Society designs and produces sustainable clothing and accessories for the whole family. With the pandemic impacting retail sales, August Society wanted to develop its own online channels to drive sales and develop its own loyal customer base. With an ecommerce website already in place, the main challenges in this ongoing project was to increase reach and website traffic, as well as the site’s conversion rate.

The Process

To help August Society achieve their goals, we developed an end-to-end communications strategy to clearly position the brand, taking over their Facebook and Instagram presence, launching social media advertising and a series of different tactics to engage customers, including:

  • New product and collection launches
  • Ambassador search campaigns
  • Multi-brand giveaways and contests
  • Multiple sales campaigns and tactics
  • Seasonally themed campaigns

With the success of the initial project, our scope was expanded to include Google Ads, Pinterest and we're now exploring TikTok to support the company to enter new markets. As part of the project. we make ongoing website optimisation recommendations and we work very closely with the founding team to hone the brand message and overarching strategy.

Determining the exact brand aesthetic, voice, and content cadence often takes some trial and error with clients. Generally, the sooner we can establish a workflow/rhythm with content conceptualization, creation, review, and revisions, the better the results.
