The Challenge

A luxury jewelry and home furnishings store was looking to expand its online presence. I was hired to improve their Facebook Ads strategy, scale their Google Ads campaigns, and create a winning SEO strategy.

The Process

Google Ads:

  • Analyzed historical and competitor data and added bid adjustments, exclusions, new keywords, audiences, extensions, ads, and new campaign formats.
  • Reorganized unique sets of keywords into their own ad groups with unique, matching ads.
  • Subsequently, I continuously A/B tested and refined ads, extensions, audiences, keywords, campaign types, and bid adjustments.

Facebook Ads:

  • Performed isolated A/B testing of 1 variable at a time including image, video, carousel, and GIF ads as well as ad text, headlines, descriptions, and landing pages in order to determine the best option for each element.
  • Tested ad copy with varying messaging and voice to determine the best fit for the brand.
  • Provided the client with creative recommendations based on best performing creative and re-engineered existing creative.

Search Engine Optimization:

  • Determined target keywords based on current and competitor rankings.
  • Audited and fixed technical errors across the site and improved site speed.
  • Created new content, an automated metadata formulated and edited page structures in order to better rank for targeted keywords
  • Acquired backlinks from websites with high domain authority and traffic.
  • The result was top 5 rankings for a dozen target keywords.

The Solution

The client experienced a 200% increase in revenue after the first 6 months, with 50% coming directly from ads. Revenue from Google Ads increased 350% with an 8x return on ad spend, while Facebook Ads increased from 0.4x to 7x return on ad spend.
