  • Returning customer rate 2.56%

This was the most successful period because they paused for Chinese New Year and sales dropped off on the baby water mat. Additionally, their struggled with the account being disabled and then significantly reduced their budget to $8/day by April.

The Challenge

The challenge was to build this store from the ground up. It was a brand new dropshipping store when advertising was handed to me. I needed to select a product, ensure the copy was well-written, and develop the ad copy, creatives, and audiences.

The Process

Since this was a brand new dropshipping store. I researched and found a product that was likely to sell well.

I wrote the product copy to optimize it for paid ads. Then ad copy, images, and videos were designed to grab attention. All poor-performing ads and ad sets were paused to improve cost per purchase.

The brand was already familiar to consumers who were used to seeing it at stores like Harvey Norman and Kmart, but now could no longer shop at those stores. Another challenge was not being able to offer discounts on their products deeper than the stockist retailer were offering.

The target ROAS was 500 - 600%. The channels they were using were Facebook/Instagram Ads and Google Ads.  Facebook was an area of concern as they did not see consistent returns there, although the channel very well during lockdowns.
