
After implementing the digital funnel for selling tickets. We started selling out every event across Canada. EDCE became Canada’s largest small business conference that is held annually in Vancouver, Calgary, Winnipeg, Toronto, and Halifax. Which led to EDCE acquisition in 2019 by an events management business.
Owners acquired existing small business conference event. Sales and marketing consisted of a team of 3 outbound marketers which produced roughly 150 attendees per event in every city. New owners wanted to grow attendance to 500+ and wanted to do it all with digital marketing so that it was highly scalable and replicable for every event.
• Designed digital marketing strategy for selling event tickets and corporate sponsorships.
• Created a combination of partnerships, digital advertising, and media contacts to sell out events across North America.
• Built the digital marketing team, and lead social media, content marketing, mobile app, email and website strategy.
• Digital advertising topped 200 million impressions for EDCE Canada alone in 2016.
• Lead email marketing and automation efforts, deploying more than 14 million targeted messages a year with an industry-beating average open rate of 28%.
• Increased social engagement on EDCE properties by nearly 50%.
• Created marketing automation efficiencies to increase the business development team's effectiveness.
• Responsible for advertising strategy and media planning including managing external agencies.
• Led the effort to refresh the EDCE brand, maintaining equity and consistency while modernizing the look and feel.
