The Challenge

Laser's Edge Design is an Alberta based business that offers custom hand made board games and memory books.


After helping the owner update their Shopify website, they reached out to me to help them increase their online sales via two channels; Amazon Canada & USA and Facebook advertising.


The client has a very small budget to work with, so ensuring profitability over scaling was the focus of both channels.


The Process

For Amazon Canada and USA, we leveraged Helium 10 to do a complete product listing optimization for copywriting, keywords and imagery.


After optimizing the listings we structured our PPC campaigns into two buckets;

  • Top volume keywords campaign
  • Top opportunity keywords campaign

This allowed us to leverage a smaller budget but maintain visibility to both people seeking his exact product, and those who might be browsing for other products and consider purchasing once introduced to the products.


With Facebook we were limited with budget, so the campaigns were structured in a way to drive traffic and conversions with the following setup;

  • 1x Traffic campaign; Canada-wide - focus on Cost Per Click
  • 1x Conversion campaign; Look-alike audience - split test at the ad level for creative.
