Atlassian, a B2B workplace collaboration software company, was heading towards a cloud-first future where it needed to move its marketing processes from being focused on high-touch single product journeys to now self-serve (user onboards on their own), low-touch (light chat support based on bronze/silver status) and high-touch (gold status, enterprise customers) across many products and apps.
The technology, marketing and sales teams were misaligned, and looked for a partner who could speak marketing + sales + technology, which was the role I played. My responsibility was in leading product managers and program managers to enable strategies in lifecycle marketing (prospects growth, lead acquisition, nurture programming, conversion and retention) and move freemium users through the upgrade path, with the goal of activating low-CAC flywheel marketing.
I started this account from day 1 before the restaurant opened it's doors in 2016. We built up momentum and were maxed out of tables from day 1. It's been a wild ride with expanding into a new space, adding in a pizza oven for authentic Napolateon pizza, adding in catering options, and now onto opening second location just for private events and catering!
This client was opening its first medical and recreational marijuana dispensary in a suburb of Toronto with about 5 other locations nearby.
They were the "new kids on the block" and their goal was to cut into the existing market share.
Most people search for dispensaries if they already don't have a favourite one they go to.
We took advantage of this and got them ranked within the top 3 positions on Google from our SEO for over 15 keywords related to their demographics search queries.
This was all done within 5 months of starting.
They became the highest volume cannabis store in the area and now they've opened a second location which we also manage for SEO.
Important to note that they weren't doing any other form on online marketing.
