The results were impressive for the minimal budget and skeleton team:

SEO:

  1. Technical SEO items were fixed (broken links, sitemap.xml issues, images and code optimized to make the site faster).
  2. Website was reorganized and cleaned up for users and search engines. We built a skeleton setup so that the site could start to rank for terms which it

Google Ads:

  1. Reduced the CPL, but due to website flow issues, we could not reduce it to profitable levels
  2. Increased the quality of the connection of the SERPS to the ads by deploying an ultra specific campaign setup.

The Challenge

I was hired as the "marketing guy" for a friend's new business.

Unique selling proposition:

  1. Custom linens manufactured in USA
  2. Quick turn around time

Goals:

  1. Relaunch D2C and B2B custom linens brand.
  2. Make sales and turn the company cash positive

Challenges:

  1. Low brand recognition
  2. Lots of startup competitors and entrenched existing brands
  3. Low marketing budget and sophistication to get things done
  4. The website was not well designed, SEO was neglected, and Google Ads was poorly setup.

The Process

My process was plain and simple:

  1. Interviewed the CEO. Understood more about the business and how things work.
  2. Audited the website and Google Ads account and came up with an action plan.
  3. Presented the action plan and started to implement it.
  4. Worked with their developer to implement the changes. Regular check ins with the CEO for progress.
  5. Updated Google Ads with new KW, started to launch a new ads structure, and optimize the existing setup.

The Solution
