The Challenge

Hunter & Gather are on a mission to provide you the tools you need to thrive!

Their range of food is free from grains, refined sugars & seed oils, and target consumers who follow a Paleo, Keto, Gluten Free, Low Carb, Banting, Sugar Free, Dairy Free lifestyle. The range includes amazing mayos, oils, sauces and supplements which are available through their direct-to-consumer Shopify store and also sold through a variety of retailers.

As one of my first freelance clients, and longest standing current client, it has been a pleasure working with the Hunter and gather founders, Jeff and Amy, and seeing their business grow substantially over the years. Hunter and Gather have an amazing base of extremely loyal customers who consistently repeat purchase and advocate for the brand.

When starting with the brand, they were still relatively new with a monthly revenue of approx £4,000 (they now have a monthly revenue of over £80k/m). They were looking for long-term sustainable growth with the main challenge being the fact they were relatively unknown to the market at the time.

The Process

Over the past few years, we have run a significant number of campaigns building engagement at the top of the funnel and feeding customers through to the lower parts for optimal conversions. With specific targeting and clear messaging, campaigns delivered the results Hunter and Gather were looking for, with increased revenue month-on-month over an extended period of time.

Facebook Ads have focused on new customer acquisition with specific targeting of key groups and compelling ad creative.

Through the use a detailed Google Ads account making use of both the shopping feed and search ads, I have ensured that Hunter and Gather take advantage of every opportunity of being in the right place at the right time when there is search intent for their products, product category, or customers looking for products that align with their diet.

I am their dedicated PPC resource and am responsible for all digital ad channels. Working with Hunter and gather has enabled me to focus on my primary skill set, getting the most out of ad platforms by making data driven decisions to ensure campaigns run at their optimal levels. I worked closely with the brand to construct compelling ads, great offers and hooks and importantly, focussed on long-term growth and customer retention.

Medical Supply Depot

Client was struggling with a business that had steadily decreasing revenue over the course of 3 years. This was sped up by the fact they went through an acquisition that wasn't integrating with their parent company quickly.

The client has over 5,000 SKU's, and a percentage of sales comes over the phone, losing performance insights.

One of the areas our client was struggling with was that they wanted to continually increase the ROAS targets; which was driving down spend and overall revenue. This was even more challenging, given some of the tracking challenges.

The client also didn't have a cohesive affiliate or promotions strategy.

Human of Hair Color

My consulting work with the Human Of Color focused exclusively on social media management. The unique challenges I faced when working with this client had to do with content and engagement alignment between what the client desired vs. what I knew would work best given my knowledge of the social media algorithm.

Because of this challenge, I learned how to lean more into developing brand new strategies that served both the existing social media algorithm and what the client preferred in order to achieve  client satisfaction and social media growth simultaneously.
