The Challenge

This e-commerce client was having difficulty managing their Google Ads program internally as they were about to enter one of the busy fall planting season. Their Google Shopping product feed was not working, so no shopping ads were running, and many of their products were not being promoted in Google search. In addition, they were not running Facebook ads and wanted to resume that advertising.

The Process

Working with their direct mail agency I gained access to the Google Merchant Center account and got the product feed working again and set up a new Google Shopping campaign. Meanwhile I updated and resumed some paused search campaigns that had produced the desired return in the past and created some new search campaigns focused on their bestselling categories of products. Next, I moved on to their Facebook Ads program and created a new ad campaign that immediately started generating product orders at the desired level of return.

The Solution

In the first three months of managing their Google Ads account compared to the previous three months:

  • Cost Per Order improved 27%
  • Revenue increased 756%
  • Orders increased 648%
