Founded by CEO Don Halpern, the company's chief competitive advantage is their products' unique patented features and material that prevent the bag from being opened or broken into. Their product features are unique and cannot be found with any other companies on the market. In 2017, Loctote was featured on Shark Tank where they successfully garnered an investment deal with Shark Tank investor Robert Herjavec. The company successfully established eCommerce and wholesale distribution channels but needed help improving the profitability of their paid advertising strategy for their eCommerce channel. When we began working with the Loctote company, they were experiencing issues that were interfering with the profitability of their paid advertising channels. While the company’s initial online advertising campaigns had been successful in the beginning, over time due to the increasing complexity and competitiveness of advertising platforms, the ad campaigns had declined in performance. Due to these issues, the company was experiencing a downturn in online revenue, an increase in wasted ad spend, and a decline in ROAS across all online advertising channels.
The goal was to conduct an immediate turnaround of Loctote’s online acquisition strategy by redesigning their paid advertising strategy from scratch to substantially increase ROAS and reduce wasted ad spend. When I took on the project, I was confident that I could help the brand fix these major issues. I immediately started by reorganizing the client's campaigns to reduce wasted ad spend and significantly increase advertising performance. Within the first week of working together, I was able to significantly reduce wasted ad spend across all advertising channels. With ad spend now controlled, I was then able to focus on designing and implementing new ad campaigns from scratch on Facebook, Instagram, Google, Youtube, and Amazon to improve conversion and ROAS.

As head of PPC my goal was to bring qualified buyers to the company. Powtoon offers a Saas that allows people to create videos. It's a freemium model, where people can sign up for a free trial, so they can test the platform and after 3 days trial decide if they want to purchase one of the available plans.
My goal was to bring people that will purchase the yearly pro plus plan, as this is the most profitable for the company in the long run.
The challenges were to target people who actually need the product and not people who occasionally use it.
The best users are Freelancers, graphic designers who want to add video to their arsenal and don't want to learn complex software like Adobe Premiere, etc.
Good target market is also companies that want to use video to simplify their messaging.
Goals: To increase sales across the board, regardless of where they occur. To increase “moroccan magic” searches on Google and Amazon. Since they sell their product in so many places, and have Amazon and target running shopping ads for their products, we cannot simply look at website sales.
Calian is a large B2B/B2G professional services company, publicly traded on the Toronto Stock Exchange. When I started with Calian in early 2019, they had a Drupal 7 website that had been somewhat neglected and had technical issues, and the design and content were overall unimpressive, and not representative of a strong brand with an umbrella of highly specialized solutions. They were also lacking a social media strategy, appropriate analytics tracking, marketing automation and a modern CRM solution.
