With a significantly lower fee for Amazon PPC and an impact to their organic traffic and sales the client was most pleased with the end results.
This also paved the way for other customer and product research opportunities to the company through which I was freelancing.

There was a dual challenge of the business being an Amazon Vendor and getting feedback/direction from Amazon that didn't serve the client's best interest AND the limitations of changes we could do swiftly to the business' Amazon offering.
With Amazon PPC being managed by Amazon and virtually non-existent resources for listing updates I had to work extra hard to make an impact to the business.
First, I had to earn the trust of the client via educational and commercial discussions where I explained how I would run their Amazon PPC differently and why a flat fee would work out much better for them instead of % of spend (which Amazon maximised by spending sometimes too much on some ASINs)
Secondly, I identified and highlighted listing issues for some key and head ASINs which could generate positive results relatively quickly.
Thirdly, I explained my creative and content requirements to ensure not only PPC but the organic traffic performance was going to increase as well.

Up until now, the company had not experimented with paid channels, and weren't sure if they could make the costs work for their self-serve software product.
